The temperament of the dog

When you choice a puppy takes someone with you that knows the breed or someone that have bred with them. In the beginning all the puppies will steel your hart and you want all of the puppies. It is when you need some advice from someone. When the breeder and the puppies impress you and the adviser you can then choice your puppy.

I going to give you some tips the help you make a better choice.

The Age of the dog.

When you choice a puppy it is usually between six and eight weeks. It is a big risk if you want a show dog because the puppy can look good at this age, but may never develop into anything grander than a pet.

The Gender of the dog

If you select a puppy take the puppy away from the mother because the puppy will look bigger and more 'flashy".

Select a puppy that is happy. Inquisitive and a puppy that is fat with a short back and good substance. If you see a puppy that is shy and nervous don't pity them, because they will maybe not adapt the rest of the family. It will not be suitable for show dog and they can develop into an aggressive dog.

The Faults

Do not choose puppies that have mismarked, but if they have other qualities that is outstanding you can choose them. Avoid also the puppies that have inferior fronts and feet that turn in or out.

The Build of the dog

Look to the shoulders and chest of the puppy. The shoulder of the puppies must protrude from the shoulder. The neck of the puppy must be long. The six week old puppy must be square. The front legs must be as long and must be equal both the wide of the chest and the length of the back legs. If the body is short with a deep chest and if it reaches the elbow it will never transform into a narrow, long legged dog. Look for a short back well bent stifles and short hocks. This is good qualities to look for, but it is not easy to find.
Cow hocks are inclined by puppies when they are constantly on their hind legs trying to peep over a fence or barrier. It is naturally because the hindquarters get stronger and with the proper exercise.

The eyes of a puppy
A Bull Terrier eyes are never round it is triangular and must be dark.

The head of the puppy
The head of the puppy must be the deciding factor of choosing a puppy. It must be well filled, with no dip in the bridge of the nose.

The bite of a puppy
It is difficult to tell how the bite will develop at an age of six to eight weeks.  The upper jaw must be protruding at this stage to left enough space for the growth of the lower jaw. The goal is to select a puppy that his bite is not level in three months. They lose their milk teeth at four months.
